The challenge:
eufy Security is Anker Innovations’ brand for home and small business safeguarding systems. We were hired in Q3 2020 to promote this family of products and now we are the PR and Social Media agency for all Anker brands in Spain.
To position the brand in the Spanish market, increasing sales at Amazon.es during special promos like Prime Day and Black Friday 2020.
Using gift guides with special deals, we manage to appear on high conversion to sales media outlets and pages like Chollometro, Hipertextual or Xataka. We also offered review units to key journalist matching eufy’s target audiences. The cameras appeared in major tech media such as Applesfera, Omicrono-El Español, YouTube channels and even on TV!
Fresh 'n Rebel

What we achieved:
Fresh ’n Rebel is a Dutch brand that competes in the wireless audio market using trendy, colourful and well designed products, alongside with useful tech for everyday use. For more than 3 years, SmartComms has been Fresh ’n Rebel PR partner in Spain. On June 2021 we were asked to launch a new premium headphone series to key lifestyle and tech journalists.
Using an online briefing format, the new products were introduced by a product manager to key selected reporters. They all received a giftbox that includes both the new headphones and some more details to enjoy, everything surrounded by a creativity and inspiration storytelling. The journalist tested the products under embargo until the launch date.
for the first time, a launch in Fresh ’n Rebel was coordinated between sales, design and marketing teams, setting availability dates based on embargoed reviews and retail partners. Journalist got an exclusive view into the company, focusing on brand values and key products. The new Clam Elite and Twins ANC were featured in Trendencias, Vitónica, El Periódico, and more!
Notebloc

What we achieved:
Notebloc is a Spanish EdTech company that innovates around how students take notes. From its inverted grid sheet phisical notebooks to the free Notebloc Scanner app, it is a small startup with different line of business that require different growth plans. During our adventure, Notebloc was chosen as best EdTech Startup in Europe by the EU.
To create a effective comms strategy for each business area in a customized way to maximize results. Also, to turn the technical / engineering communications style to a new lifestyle approach to reach a new target and costumer profile.
Between March and May 2020, during the pandemic blockdown, the Notebloc Scanner app was featured on an enormous number of key publications, blogs and influencer pages. Some general information media publications such us Radio 5, Business Insider or Crónica Global were interested in interviewing the founders to talk more into Notebloc products, plans and strategy. Thanks to this great coverage and reach, together with further product developments, Notebloc was chosen to participate on Impact EdTech (by EU) and obtained €110,000 in non repayable funding.

Social media launch + Influencer program

What we did:
In Q2 2021, Anker Innovations trusted us to relaunch its Instagram profile in Spain with the aim of promoting the brand and products in our market, while creating a fluent communication channel with their customers.
We launched @Anker_esp local profile, thinking about how we could quickly increase reach and engagement in a few weeks period. After a short period of everything getting set we hit the pedal with a full influencers and Instagram Ads plan.
We collaborated with 6 meticulously chosen influencers to attract audience to our profile and two of them even launched giveaways on their profiles to generate even more engagement. At the same time we brough our complementary Ads plan into fruition, achieving the KPIs established by the client.

Startup crowdfunding!

What we achieved:
Two 18 years old entrepreneurs created an app that guides blind people inside the Madrid’s Metro facilities, where signposting is essentially visual. We took charge of everything comms related for the project, starting by giving the crowdfunding campaign a huge visibility in key publications and getting the app known within its target community.
To generate media interest in an inclusion tool that is useful to just a small segment of the overall population, while many different reporter targets needed to be reached at the same time. At the same time we had to deal with Metro de Madrid publicly assuring people that the app wasn’t necessary for blind people inside their stations and trains.
More than 15 interviews on TV and radio in key media like RTVE, Antena 3, Telemadrid or Cadena SER. In addition, more than 100 pieces were published in print and online media including El País, La Razón or Europa Press. As well, we found opportunities to win awards form institutions like Fundación masHumano, Bankinter, and more.
